Robb Elementary – Principal’s Message

I am very excited to begin my second year as the Robb Elementary Principal for the 2017 – 2018 school year!

Robb Elementary is a 3rd and 4th grade campus that has served our district since 1955.  We are very proud of that heritage.  Being a former Robb Teacher and now Robb Administrator, I am very proud of our campus, staff and students.  Here at Robb Elementary we are focused on “Every Student, Every Day”.  This vision speaks of the commitment our staff has to our students.  We are committed to establishing and maintaining a safe, engaging, and caring learning environment.  With the support of our parents and community we believe that our students will accomplish great things.

I believe all students have the desire and ability to learn and it is our job as educators to instill a love of learning in each of our students.  We will help each student become a self-directed learner that takes ownership in his or her own learning experiences.  We want all students that pass through our doors to become life-long learners.

Our focus this year will have an emphasis on Reading.  Our #1 goal is that all Robb students will learn to read so they can read to learn.  Many of our teachers spent time this summer at several trainings with this goal in mind.  We are excited and ready for our students to return and benefit from all that we have learned this summer.

Whether you are returning to us this year or are a new family, know that we value our partnership and you are always welcome at Robb Elementary.  When teachers, staff, parents and community members work together, school works for our students.  Together we will be successful.

One of my favorite quotes is from Dr. Seuss:

“The more that you read, the more things you will know.

The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
